Disneyland Paris' new land opens in march and I NEED to go.

Well, it’s finally happening – Disneyland Paris have earmarked the 29th of March 2026 for the opening of the rebranded Walt Disney Studios park and its new expansion World of Frozen.

The village of Arandelle lit up at night with drones showing the message: World of Frozen, Opening March 29th 2026
Oh we do love some drones.

And while I probably won’t make it out there for a while, boohoo for me, it’s well-worth talking about what’s coming and things I want to try out in the future.

As an aside, if ya want to send me, I don’t know, £3k for a research trip, I won’t complain.

Firstly, Adventure World itself.

This project has been in the works for a while now at DLP, with the rebrand announced back in 2024. I won’t lie, this whole thing does make me a little sad as I love the old Hollywood style of the Studios park, but I’m sure the Imagineers have done some great work modernising the park, which let’s face it, was much needed in places! The Studios vibe wasn’t really fitting with the existing IP’s either, so this new branding should tie everything together much better.

Plus, it’ll be nice to actually visit and not be surrounded by construction boarding like my trip in September of 2024. Kinda detracts from the magic, y’know?

World of Frozen brings the Nordic Kingdom of Arendelle to life complete with new shops, restaurants and of course Elsa’s ice palace. The expansion brings a new family ride in the form of Frozen Ever After – an indoor boat ride that I’m sure parents will rank as highly as It’s A Small World as they inevitably emerge singing Let It Go for weeks afterward.

The new village of Arendelle in Disney's Adventure World, lit up at night. In the background Elsa's Ice Palace is seen on a mountain and the royal castle can be seen on the right.
I can only hope it's as picturesque when I get there... It'll probably be raining for me, right?

Connecting the main park to Arendelle is Adventure Way, a new, stunning lakeside area which serves as the park’s new ‘Main Avenue’. With a three-hectare lake as a central feature, this area will supposedly connect everything together, while adding, of course, more shops and restaurants. There is also a new Tangled themed ride, inspired by the Lantern Festival from the film.

Now, I could talk about the new updates for ages, but we’re all here for one thing – the food. Apparently, there will be 15 new food outlets when the expansion opens which is very exciting. But what can we expect?

Obviously, it’s already up and running, but it’d be remiss of me to not mention the new things in World Premiere Plaza – The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant and Searchlight. The former is a Quick Service restaurant, while the latter is more of a snack stop with some fab looking doughnuts!

According to the DLP app, at Searchlight, you can pick up a doughnut for around €4.50 and various hot and cold drinks starting at €3.30, not bad. But if you’re doing a proper snack stop, they seem to offer a ‘Sweet Break’ which looks like a doughnut and a drink for €8.00. For a Disney park, that feels like a reasonable deal. I’m looking forward to checking this out for myself – I love a doughnut!

Meanwhile, over at The Hollywood Gardens restaurant, if you’re feeling peckish, they’ve got burgers, salads, savoury snacks and desserts for you to choose from. Plus, a separate kid’s menu for smaller appetites.

Offerings range from €3.30 for a side salad, right up to €22 for their fixed price ‘meal deal’ – sorry, the Mountain Majesty Menu. For those €22 you can grab their Powder Trail Burger (a beef burger in an Emmental cheese bun, with red Gouda, pickles, a cheddar potato pancake, raclette sauce and rocket), chips, their Sleigh Delight sweet treat and a cold drink. Again, for park prices, this one feels reasonable. You can check out the full menu for yourself on the DLP website, or app.

Onto the new bits.

Unfortunately, it seems there’s not a huge amount of information about new café, snack or quick-service options for the park expansions, but we do have two proper restaurants we can talk about.

The first is along Adventure Way – The Regal View Lounge and Bar. Billed as the ‘Disney Princesses favourite summer residence’, this restaurant is designed to be elegant, refined and with stunning views of the new lake. Honestly, the theming work that’s gone into this is fantastic – YouTube has plenty of videos from those lucky enough to attend a preview if you want to see for yourself.

I need to eat here, it looks beautiful.

We don’t have a huge amount of information on the food offerings yet, beyond that it will be ‘International Cuisine’ and the single photo from DLP’s website shows well-presented, classic looking dishes. The restaurant does have both an adult and a kid’s menu, however.

There were a handful of dish reveals at the preview event, including some stunning deserts and a whole array of themed cocktails. Apparently, one of these cocktails will be on tap, a first for the park, and a joy to those of us who’ve spent far too much time waiting for cocktails at various bars. Cocktails take a lot of work, and while I love watching a good bartender doing their thing, sometimes, I just want my drink quickly.

Honestly, this has my foodie brain SO excited. It looks incredible.

Evidently this will also feature character dining, so be aware that you might end up spotting a princess or two while you enjoy your meal.

Attached to the restaurant, is the Regal View Lounge, so if you’re not feeling up to a full meal, you can come in and relax in the beautiful bar space, have a drink and enjoy the views of the lake. I can see myself chilling out in here a lot. I want to try every single one of those princess cocktails.

Honestly, I could spend hours in here sampling cocktails. It looks SO classy!

Onto the second of the new restaurants – the Nordic Crowns Tavern.

We have even less information about this one, Disney doesn’t even have a page on their website for it yet. However, we do have that preview event. All of the information I have, has come from the preview. (Shoutout to Pixie Dust DLP whose videos came in very handy here.)

The idea for the food in the Tavern (and I assume the broader World of Frozen) is that it should be inspired both by the films, and traditional Nordic ingredients and cooking methods. The menu has also been designed to be as inclusive as possible, for example, forgoing butter and milk in various cooking processes to keep things more suitable for lactose intolerant folks.

Both kids and adults will be dining from the same menu thanks to another park first – customisable dishes. Essentially, it’s pick your own here, you choose your carb between grains or mash, choose some veggies, some protein and then a sauce. And yes, meatballs are on the menu, so expect a comparison between IKEA and DLP at some point.

Dessert-wise, nothing looks too earth shattering here. The preview showed images of a couple of themed ice creams and a snowflake cake. Fairly standard family fare, but sometimes that’s all you need.

Needless to say, I am SO excited to get back to Disneyland Paris and experience all of this for myself. Sadly, I don’t know when that will be, but it is on the to-do list! I’m curious as to what other changes they’ve made – will some of the food stops in the tiny Paris outside Remy’s have moved to Adventure Way to give them more space? What other food and drink outlets do Disney have planned? How many mortgages will I need to try all this stuff?!

At some point we’ll get answers to these questions. For now though, we’ll just have to wait until the expansion opens next March.
