Thorpe Park is one of a trio of Merlin operated parks in what I’m dubbing Coaster County – a chunk of space southeast of London containing three of the UK’s best theme parks.

Looking up over the Stealth start line as THE SWARM ride train shoots down its track
I'll chuck a 'park entrance' photo up when I finally get there, for now enjoy SWARM over Stealth. Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

I grew up just outside of Coaster County, so I’ve been going to Thorpe Park probably since the late 90’s/early 2000’s and it has changed A LOT over the years. What hasn’t changed however, is just how much fun you can have on “the island like no other”.

Yes, I know they’ve retired that tagline, shush.

Please bear in mind that this guide is a work in progress and has most of its information taken from the official Thorpe Park website and/or app. Do let me know if you think something isn’t quite right or if you can help fill in any missing information!

So, where can you eat at Thorpe Park?

Scroll down to take a look at the list, or if you're after specific lands in the park, pick from the links below!

And if you want an idea of where things are at Thorpe Park, then check out their park map!

Park info

Initially starting out as Thorpe Place, an estate dating back to the 1500s, the plot on which Thorpe Park sits was sold off in the 1930’s to a concrete company who turned it into a gravel extraction pit. By 1970, the pits were exhausted and the land was flooded to create a water sports resort. In 1979, Thorpe Park was officially opened to the public, before getting its first rollercoaster, Space Station Zero in 1984.

Fast forward to today and the park now boasts plenty of attractions across nine ‘territories’, including eight rollercoasters. The jewel in the park’s crown is no doubt Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest coaster.

There are food outlets in most of the park’s territories, except for Old Town and Swarm Island. Though, placing some of these can be a bit tricky, but I’m grouping them mostly by the Park Map (even if I disagree with some things) until I can get to the park myself.

Amity

Formally known as Amity Cove, which you might still spot on a sign or two, Amity is the park’s vintage, coastal town containing rides like Tidal Wave, Storm Surge, and Stealth over at Amity Speedway.

Thorpe Park's Tidal Wave splashes down while Stealth prepares to drop down its hill in the background.
Amity always looks its best under blue skies! Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

Being one of the larger areas of the park, Amity has quite the selection of food outlets. And if you’re after a drink refill, there is a Coca-Cola Freestyle station next to Amity Kebabs, as well as a second one with a water refill station between High Striker and Amity Beach.

Amity Kebabs

‘Say hello to your ol’ pal Doner! Plus chicken and falafel.’

Kebabs, Quick Service

Vegetarian and Gluten Free available on request

While not quite the same vibe as the kebab van on the way home from the pub on a late Friday night, Amity Kebabs is still serving up gyro-style wraps with a choice of different fillings, from the classic doner to chicken tikka.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payment only

  • Annual Pass discount available

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop

‘Peace, love and ice-cream!’

Ice Cream, Quick Service

Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free Available

What’s the best way to chill out after an exhilarating ride on Stealth? Some might say it’s grabbing a tub of ice cream from Amity Speedway’s Ben & Jerry’s outlet.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payment only

Cape Cod Fish and Chips

‘These chip shop faves will have you hook, line and sinker!’

Fish & Chips, Quick Service

Vegetarian and Vegan options available on request

One of Thorpe Park’s many quick service options, this one focusses on all your chippy favourites, serving ‘fish’ (no, the menu doesn’t specify which one), scampi, sausage or pie with chips. If you’re feeling slightly healthier, you could opt for the fish finger sandwich which at least comes with a bit of rocket.

You can also grab yourself a meal deal which gets you any of the ‘& chips’ options, along with either curry sauce, mushy peas or gravy, and a soft drink.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payment only

  • Annual Pass discount available (10%)

Churros, Waffles & Shakes

‘Satisfy your sweet tooth’

Sweet Treats, Quick Service

Funnily enough, Churros, Waffles & Shakes specialises in… churros, waffles and shakes. Who knew? You can also grab hot and cold drinks here.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payment only

  • Annual Pass discount available (10%)

Harbor Desserts Co.

‘Waffles to puddings, don’t miss their batch of the day!’

Sweet Treats, Quick Service

Bread and butter pudding is the star of the show at Harbor Desserts Co. and it’s made from doughnuts or croissants. Served up with cream or ice cream (for an extra charge) and a sauce of your choice. Not feeling the pudding? You can also grab waffles on a stick or soft serve ice cream.

If you’re feeling thirsty, there’s the usual array of cold soft drinks, alongside frozen Coca-Cola or Fanta Blue Raspberry.

Pricing Info:

  • Card or Cash payments

  • Annual Pass discount available (20%)

KFC

‘Tuck into a selection of the Colonel’s favourites.’

Fried Chicken, Quick Service

KFC surely needs no introduction, but if you’ve somehow missed out on what the Colonel has been doing since the 1930s, KFC specialises in fried chicken. (That’s what the FC stands for.)

Grab yourself some Original Recipe chicken pieces or perhaps a box of popcorn chicken, served up with seasoned fries.

Though the restaurant may be quick service, it does have seating indoors, so you’re not having to pray the weather holds up while you enjoy your lunch.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

Dockside Snacks

‘Perk up with a drink or a snack.’

Honestly, I was in two minds whether to include this, but it’s on the map so we’re chucking it in. However, I can’t seem to find any information on this place, so it’ll be a placeholder for the time being.

What I can tell you is that you’ll probably be able to grab a bottle of soft drink, or a packet of crisps at this place and it’s located near to the Tidal Wave Splash Zone viewing area. So, you can grab a snack to eat while you watch other people getting thoroughly drenched. Probably.

Big Easy Boulevard

Located between Amity and The Jungle, this space used to house some quite Angry Birds between 2014 and 2023. Now, it’s far less angry, and houses attractions like Detonator and the Sunset Cinema.

Riders prepare to drop as Detonator's ride carriage sits atop the tower
Detonator does offer some fantastic views for all of five seconds. Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

The Boulevard is relatively small, but you’ve got some options for food, as well as the CandyPips sweet shop. There is also a Coca-Cola Freestyle station near to CandyPips.

Burger King

‘The classics, but with a side of good times.’

Burgers, Quick ServiceVegetarian and Vegan options available

One of two BK outlets in Thorpe Park, this one on Big Easy Boulevard is the ideal stop for a food break after getting a bit wet on the Rumba Rapids, or spinning yourself silly on Dobble Tea Party. Serving the classic Whopper as well as all your BK favourites, this quick service restaurant also has seating available indoors.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

Boulevard Bites

‘Chow down on loaded nachos, Cajun fries and hot dogs’

Hot Dogs, Quick Service

Vegetarian and Vegan options available, Gluten Free available on request

Boulevard Bites is a window location sat right next to Sunset Cinema. Though, despite the map tagline mentioning nachos, I can’t see any on the menu provided by Thorpe Park. You can however, pick up loaded hot dogs or loaded fries. The dogs are either pork or veggie and can be topped with pulled pork or chilli no carne if you prefer. Or skip the dog and chuck the same toppings on some regular or spiced fries.

You’ve got your usual cold drink offering here, though you can also pick up a slushie if you’re in the mood for a frozen beverage.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments only

  • Annual pass discount

Fearless Valley

Fearless Valley is the home of Hyperia. Nostalgic folk like me will remember this area fondly as it used to be part of Old Town, housing beloved attractions like Loggers Leap and the Canada Creek Railway.

Aerial view of Hyperia towering over the rest of the park and surrounding greenery on the lake.
I must say, Hyperia is quite imposing on the skyline. Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

Hyperia is of course the main attraction of this area, but you also have a couple of snack stops too. The Hyporium shop also has a Coca-Cola Freestyle refill station.

Burger King

‘The classics, but with a side of rollercoaster thrills.’

Burgers, Quick Service

Vegetarian and Vegan options available

The second of two BK outlets, this one is located, on the way to Hyperia. If you’ve been around Thorpe Park for a while, you’ll know this used to be the prime burger spot before hitting Loggers Leap (RIP.)

As with the sister location on Big Easy Boulevard, it’s all the usual BK favourites and some indoor seating. So, if you need a sit down after your flight on Hyperia, this has you covered.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

Cloud Nine Treats

‘Take flavours to new heights with these golden desserts.’

Sweet Treats, Quick Service

Gluten free available on request

A waffle by any other name would still be as sweet, and that’s what they’re serving up at Cloud Nine Treats. Maybe tackle the waffle after the coaster, though if the queue line is long enough, you’ll probably have time to get over the sugar rush before your flight.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payment only

  • Annual Pass discount (10%)

Lost City

Another large area in the park, Lost City originally opened way back in 2001 with Vortex and Zodiac, with Colossus following in 2002. You’ve also got Quantum and Rush to keep you amused too.

Looking up at a train at the top of Colossus' lift hill from the sign outside the queue line
An institution at this point, Colossus has been around for a while now! Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

In terms of food, if you like doughnuts, you’re golden. There are a couple of savoury spots too, but one is peak time only. For queue line snacks, there’s a kiosk in Colossus, and the Colossus Shop has a Coca-Cola Freestyle refill station if you need it.

Colossus Hotdogs

‘Hot diggity dog! The Sausage Man is in town.’

Hot Dogs, Quick Service

Vegetarian options available

The Sausage Man is here, and he hangs out by Colossus. Oo-er.

Grab yourself a regular or large original hot dog, or a veggie dog if you prefer. Fries are your optional accompaniment here and come in regular, seasoned or cheesy varieties. Wash it all down with a hot or cold drink, including slushies.

You can grab a meal deal at Colossus Hotdogs, netting you a dog, fries and drink for a bundle price.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

Donut Factory

‘Classic sugar doughnuts, you can’t go wrong!’

Sweet Treats, Quick Service

Ah, the classic fairground doughnut. I’ve been eating these at Thorpe Park for years. Small, ring doughnuts caked in sugar and served up warm. Sometimes, it’s just what you need.

Grab yourself one, five or ten doughnuts (whether or not you feel like sharing) with optional strawberry, chocolate or butterscotch sauce. It’s mostly cold drinks here, but you can pick up a Cadbury hot chocolate if the doughnut isn’t providing quite enough sugar.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

  • Annual Pass discount

Planet Doughnut

‘The best doughnuts the galaxy has to offer!’

Sweet Treats, Quick Service

If the classic sugar doughnuts from Donut Factory can’t satisfy your cravings, then Planet Doughnut is here to help. With two locations in Lost City, one by Vortex and one up by the Colossus queue line, you don’t have to go far for one of these treats.

These doughnuts are hand crafted daily by ‘doughnut designers’ and bring that bit more oomph (and size) to your doughnut experience.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

  • Annual Pass discount

Tacotaria Express

‘Treat your taste buds to the taste of Mexico! Olé!’

Mexican, Quick Service

Vegetarian options available

First of all, I should mention that the Thorpe Park app tells me that this outlet is only open during ‘Peak Times’ so bear in mind it may be closed when you visit.

This is the little sister to the main Tacotaria over in The Jungle, but they both serve Mexican-inspired food. Grab yourself a taco bowl or a burrito from this small window outlet.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

  • Annual Pass discount

Port & Basecamp

Ah, the dome. The first thing that greets you on your way into the park. I remember it back when it was Port Atlantis and have spent many a 10p in the arcade machines.

You’ve got two food outlets here as well as gift shops and plenty of internal seating to take a break. There is also a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine in the Dome for your refills.

Vibes Bar & Kitchen

‘Tuck into some pub classics or chill-out at the bar.’

Pub Grub, Quick Service

Vegetarian options available, Gluten Free options available on request

Your home in the dome, the Vibes Bar & Kitchen offers pub classics like burgers, sausage and mash, and a fried chicken… pizza? Sure. Order at the bar and your food is brought to you, classic Wetherspoons style.

Vibes is also the spot for breakfast if you’re staying at the Shark Cabins, offering a buffet before you head into the park.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

The Coffee Shack

‘Indulge in some of your Costa Coffee favourites.’

Sandwiches, Quick Service

Vegetarian options available, Gluten Free options available on request

It’s Costa, Thorpe Park style. If you’re up in the dome, you can pick up Costa classics including coffees, frappes, sandwiches and cakes. A handy stop on your way into or out of the park.

Pricing Info:

  • Card and cash payments

  • Annual pass discount

The Dockyard

Acting mostly as a plaza for the Ghost Train, there isn’t a huge amount going on in The Dockyard (unless you, like me, are nostalgic for the days when there used to be a Carousel here.)

Even though it’s a relatively small area, there are still a few options for food here.

Camden Junction Bar

‘Swing by Camden Town’s finest bar and brewery.’

Drinks, Quick Service

Pick up a pint at The Dockyard’s bar, in partnership with Camden Town Brewery. A pint of Camden Hells will set you back £7.50, which is probably about right for a Surrey pub that isn’t a Wetherspoons. Non-Camden beers are also available, along with a selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks. Bear in mind that this is another window outlet, so you’ll be taking your drinks to go, but there is at least a picnic area nearby.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

Last Call Cafe

‘Chill-out with a selection of coffee shop classics.’

Sandwiches, Quick Service

Vegetarian options available

Any good train station has a café, and The Dockyard is no exception. Situated next to the Ghost Train, you can pick up Costa drinks and snacks to help recover from train-induced spooks. The café has a small amount of seating, so you might have somewhere to stop and eat your snack. Sandwiches, salads and cakes are available here alongside hot and cold drinks.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

The Jungle

Home to Nemesis Inferno and one of the last remaining mentions of the Thorpe Park Rangers – Mr Money’s Banana Ride, The Jungle is another decent sized area of the park with plenty of choices for food, two of which even have indoor seating. Luxury!

A Nemesis Inferno train flies along the track over the top of a snack shack near the ride entrance
I like that this shot of Nemesis captures a hint of the Jungle vibes. Photo: Thorpe Park Image Bank

If you need a soft drink refill, there is a Coca-Cola Freestyle station at the Inferno shop. Plus, Nemesis Inferno has a queue line kiosk.

Cadbury Chocolate Lodge

‘Satisfy your sweet tooth with some Cadbury classics!’

Drinks, On-The-Go

Chocolate lovers rejoice, this hit is for you. The Cadbury Chocolate Lodge specialises in Cadbury drinks. Shocking, I know.

Grab a cream-topped hot chocolate to warm your cockles, or if it’s a bit toasty outside, cool off with an Iced Chocolate. Iced coffee who? If you want a snack with your beverage, you can pick up some chocolate bars here too.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

Inferno’s Pizza & Pasta Buffet

‘Dive into an unlimited pizza, pasta and salad buffet.’

Italian, Buffet

Vegetarian options available, Gluten Free options available on request

Back in the day, my pizza buffet came courtesy of Pizza Hut. Nowadays though, the branding may be gone, but the restaurant is still going strong in the same spot between Nemesis Inferno and the Rumba Rapids.

Serving up all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad, maybe go for the rapids rather than Nemesis after stopping here. They also offer takeaway, so if you want a pizza to go, the separate window has you covered.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

Bubble & Spice Kitchen

‘Sip on sweet bubble tea and savour classic Indian dishes.’

Indian, Bubble Tea, Quick Service

So, this is technically two places in one. The map lists them together, but the app lists them separately. Make up your mind Thorpe Park!

Either way, both of these (and the Calypso Bar but that gets its own bit) are in the canvas covered eatery near to Mr Monkey’s Banana Ride. I loved this place when it was the BBQ pit, I have fond memories of ribs and lattice fries. Good times.

Now, the place specialises in Indian inspired dishes and has a separate Bubble Tea Bar. Pick up a chicken tikka or korma and wash it all down with a customised bubble tea. Yep, you can choose your tea, flavour and type of popping boba to make your bubble tea just how you like it.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

The Calypso Bar

Mysteriously absent from the park map, so no tagline here

Drinks, Quick Service

Also housed in the canvas eatery, the Calypso Bar is only open during peak times.

It serves up a selection of draught and bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks. Be sure to check the app to see if it’s open when you visit. If you’re desperate for a pint though, try the Camden Junction Bar or Vibes.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

The Veggie Box

‘Swing by for all your veggie favourites’

Vegetarian, Quick Service

Apparently, this place got moved after they printed the 2025 park map, so we’ll need to confirm which land it actually sits in. The perils of having moveable outlets, eh?

The Veggie Box is the place to go for purely vegetarian options. The menu offers salad rice bowls, open wraps or bean burgers, with fries, samosas or bhajis on the side.

Pricing Info:

  • Card payments

  • Annual pass discount

And that about covers everything! Old Town has very little, other than a kiosk in the queue line for SAW – The Ride, though let’s face it, there isn’t much of Old Town left these days. Swarm Island also hasn’t really got anything as it just houses THE SWARM, but again, there is a kiosk in the queue line. Bear in mind that those queue line kiosks are probably only open during busy periods, so check the app before you queue if you’re peckish!
