Where to eat at Legoland Windsor – Squidge Eats Guides

Located in the Berkshire chunk of Coaster County is beloved family resort, Legoland Windsor. One of the UK’s most popular parks, and another in Merlin’s stable, Legoland is a fantastic day out, and somewhere I’ve been visiting since I was a kid.

My best friend at the time lived round the corner and her mum bought us both annual passes, so we went a lot. I still have vivid memories of me and my friend calling out the big Lego letters on the drive into the park. My visits have slowed down over the years, but this place still holds a special place in my heart!
Before we dive into your food options, it should be noted that Legoland is a cashless park! Currently in its Winter Season, Legoland hasn’t got everything listed on its app, so this guide is absolutely a work in progress and will be updated as soon as possible!
But for now…
Where can you eat at Legoland Windsor?
Scroll down to take a look at the list, or if you're after specific lands in the park, pick from the links below!
And if you want an idea of where things are at Legoland, then why not download a park map from their website?
Park Info
Back in the late 80’s the Lego Group was looking for a new site to build their second theme park following the massive success of Legoland Billund. Over 1000 sites were considered, but when the Windsor Safari Park went into receivership in 1992, the group snapped up the location, and the idea of Legoland Windsor was born.
The park officially opened in March 1996 with Miniland and a selection of other attractions, including the iconic Hill Train – a funicular railway retained and rebranded from the original Windsor Safari Park.
These days, Legoland boasts over fifty attractions, including its most recent addition of the Minifigure Speedway – a coaster where two trains race, both forwards and in reverse!
There are still plenty of attractions from the early days of the park, alongside some new additions. The fearsome Dragon still lurks in Knight’s Kingdom along with its Apprentice, there are still stores being told in the Fairy Tale Brook and of course, junior drivers can pick up their Driving License. The Brickadilly’s rides may have been rethemed, but you can still ride the Carousel, Ferris Wheel and the Chair-O-Plane as Desert Chase, Aero Nomad and Thunder Blazer.
The Beginning
Walk through the park gate and you’ll find yourself in The Beginning, where all your adventures, well, begin.
Home to the Lego Store and the upper station for the Hill Train, there isn’t a huge amount here in terms of food outlets, but there is a coffee shop, a sweet shop and both a water fountain and a Coca-Cola Freestyle station to top up your drinks. The only one really worth talking about in any detail is probably the coffee shop, so this will be a short segment.
Beginning Coffee Co.
‘Take a pit stop & refuel your day with a coffee, tea or hot chocolate’
Café, Quick Service
The Legoland Coffee Co. has outlets across the park, but the first one that you’ll find is in The Beginning. Serving up Costa Coffee, along with a range of other hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks, this is an ideal pitstop to kick off or end your day.

DUPLO Valley
Head through Miniland and you’ll find yourself in the DUPLO valley, home to everyone’s favourite giant bricks. Designed for younger kids, this land has a handful of attractions including the DUPLO Dino Coaster, DUPLO Airport and one of my favourites, the Fairy Tale Brook.
Farmer Joe’s Chicken Company
Chicken, Quick Service
Hey there Farmer Joe, whatcha got for us today? Turns out, it’s a whole lotta chicken. Choose from wings, tenders and boneless options, pick your sauce and chow down. Grab some fries and a drink for an accompaniment and you’re all set.

LEGO City
Located next to Miniland and Duplo Valley, LEGO City is home to some fan-favourite attractions like the LEGO City Driving School, Fire Academy and the Haunted House Monster Party.

The land is also super close to the two hotels, so will likely be one of your first stops of the day if you’re a hotel guest. If you are picking up a driving license, you can also find a Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine in the area too.
Big City Bites
LEGO Fries, On the Go
Who doesn’t enjoy a potato fried up in fun shapes? At Big City Bites you can enjoy a portion of LEGO fries with a selection of toppings, and if you’re feeling chicken-y, grab a carton of chicken strips to go with them. Wash it all down with a selection of cold drinks and you’ll be ready to get back to LEGO City in no time!

Fire Academy Coffee Co.
‘Take a pit stop & refuel your day with a coffee, tea or hot chocolate’
Café, On the Go
Based in Lego City near the lower Hill Train station, this is another of the Legoland Coffee Co. outlets. These shops all do the same thing – Costa coffee, sandwiches, snacks etc. However, if you’ve gotten a bit knackered from a bout of fire fighting over at the academy, this is a great spot to refuel.

Heartlake City
Home to the LEGO Friends, Heartlake City doesn’t actually have a whole lot going on in terms of attractions. You’ve only got the LEGOLAND Express and Autumn’s Riding Adventure (which has no right being as fun as it is.)
For food options however, you’ve got a reasonable choice including an ice cream shop, café and pizza buffet.
City Walk Pizza & Pasta
Italian, Buffet Vegetarian options available
Legoland’s take on the classic pizza/pasta buffet can be found in Heartlake City. At City Walk Pizza & Pasta, you can eat your fill from a variety of pizza toppings and classic pasta dishes. Don’t fancy stopping to eat? Click and Collect is also available, so you can take it to go.

Heartlake Café
Café, Quick Service
This one is a little strange as it seems to have a couple of different names depending on what you’re looking at – either Heartlake Café or Heartlake Desserts. So bear with us while we continue to research.
Whatever it’s called, the outlet sits next door to City Walk Pizza & Pasta and serves up the usual Costa Coffee and associated snacks, as well as freshly made waffles on a stick.

Ice Cream Parlour
Sweet Treats, On The Go
It wouldn’t be a theme park without an ice cream shop. The Ice Cream Parlour is in the same run of shops as both Heartlake Café and City Walk Pizza & Pasta. Serving up a range of flavours, in both cones and cups, this is a good spot for a frozen treat. Don’t fancy an ice cream? You can also pick up candy floss, popcorn and drinks here too.

Pirate Shores
Man, Pirate Shores has always been a favourite of mine. From the excitement from finding ‘gold’ at the Pirate Goldwash, to getting absolutely soaked on Pirate Falls, this place has some serious memories for me.

Fun fact, when I was a teen, my friend and I went on Pirate Falls about six times in a row because it was so quiet – the only time we got out of our boat was so the ride operator could find us a wetter one. Good times.
Anyway, enough anecdotes, onto the food.
Pirate’s Burger Kitchen
‘Arrrrrre you ready for a hearty meal?’
Burgers, Quick Service
Vegan options available
Avast me hearties, I see burgers on the horizon! … Or something like that. Located near the entrance of Pirate Shores, Pirates’ Burger Kitchen offers both indoor seating and takeaway options for its range of burgers, chicken and sides.

Pirate’s Coffee Co.
Café, Quick Service
This guide is truly testing my skills in describing very similar cafés but even pirates need a café, right? Whether you’re a latte-lovin’ landlubber, or the captain of cappuccinos, Pirate’s Coffee Co. has all of the usual Costa Coffee suspects, along with cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks.

Knight’s Kingdom
There was always something really cool about walking towards Castleland as it was back in the day, with the randomly appearing hoofprints in the footpaths, and the Lego dragon guarding the castle entrance.
This land feels like it has a pretty small footprint compared to some of the others, but it does house the park’s original rollercoaster – The Dragon.
Wizard’s Frozen Wonders
‘Enter Wizard’s Frozen Wonders and use your magical spells to create your own enchanted dessert!’
Sweet Treats, Quick Service
If you need a sugar hit, Wizard’s Frozen Wonders has you covered. Offering a build-your-own dessert thing, you start with a base, pick your favourite toppings and dig in. If you don’t fancy making as many decisions, you can also pick up ice creams, cupcakes or just a drink.

LEGO Mythica
The concept behind Mythica is pretty cool actually. Every time someone takes the care to build a creature from Lego, it’s born in a parallel world. Yes, even that little block with eyes you built as a kid.

Taking over what used to be Adventureland, the area is now home to the flying theatre, Flight of the Sky Lion, Hydra’s Challenge and a Creature Creation centre so you too can add more critters to the Mythica Universe.
The Hungry Troll
Fish and Chips, Quick Service
A troll might not be your first choice for a lunch companion, but when he’s got all your chippy favourites, it’s hard to say no. Pick up a classic fish and chips, sausage or nuggets with all the chip shop trimmings including mushy peas and curry sauce.

LEGOLAND Resort Hotel
The first of the Resort’s hotels, the LEGOLAND Hotel looks like it was built by kids, it’s brilliant. Featuring a ton of themed rooms, including pirates, LEGO Friends and Ninjago, the hotel is a fun place to stay whether or not you’ve got kids with you.
Bricks Restaurant
Variety, Buffet
Vegetarian and Vegan options available
The main food option in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel, Bricks offers buffet dining for dinner, and breakfast if you’re a hotel guest.
The dinner menu features foods from around the world, alongside a salad bar to keep up your veggie intake. Interestingly, the menu pricing is broken down into age groups, so while under 3s eat for free, you have different prices for Junior, Senior and Master Builders.
Breakfast options cover pretty much everything from your basic bowl of cereal to build-your-own hot breakfasts.

Skyline Bar
‘Tasty Lunch, Delicious Dinner, and Signature Sips!’
Pub Grub, Quick Service
Vegetarian options available
Situated opposite the Bricks Restaurant, the Skyline Bar is open to both park and hotel guests for lunch, but just hotel guests for dinner in the evening. Offering your standard fare of pub grub from burgers to pizzas and salads, this bar is a super casual setting for both kids and adults.
Bear in mind that while open until 10pm, the last food order in the bar is at 8pm.

LEGOLAND Castle Hotel
The second hotel to be built at the Windsor Resort, the Castle Hotel, funnily enough, leans into the Knight’s Kingdom aesthetic. Choose between a Knight’s or Wizard’s room, and while the hotel doesn’t have as many amenities as its sister, guests can pop next door for the Skyline Bar or Pirate’s Pool Area.
Tournament Tavern
‘Feast like a King at Tournament Tavern!'
British, Table Service
Vegetarian options available
The Tournament Tavern is one of the selling points of the Castle Hotel – gourmet dining within the LEGOLAND Resort. Seems too good to be true, right?
The menu looks good, featuring very restaurant-y sounding dishes like a Potato and Stilton pithivier (a fancy, French pie) or a Pork Chop with Charred Hispi Cabbage. I feel like we had a phase where EVERY vaguely upmarket restaurant had charred hispi cabbage on their menu somewhere.
For hotel guests, the restaurant also offers a breakfast service in the morning with classic cooked options, or a smaller, cereal and pastry based ‘Continental’ option.
I’m loathe to write too much about this place, because on paper it looks great, but the recent Tripadvisor reviews leave a lot to be desired. Sad, considering it won awards from the review site in 2022 and 2023.

And that about covers everything for now! Bricktopia, Miniland, Ninjago World and Kingdom of the Pharoahs have nothing in them according to the Legoland website and app, but if we find more info, it'll be added to the guide!
